Every once in awhile you meet someone who quietly impresses you. I’ve had few interactions with Emily but I always note how articulate and confident she is. She came to the session in impeccable style and also was a natural at posing. Seriously, she should give workshops. Her mother was in town and hung around a bit with her sweet little dog. It was a pleasant evening.
I am happy with how these photos turned out, I think I’ve come a long way from my first few sessions in terms of exposing photos properly. I still have a long way to go, but hey, just keep swimming right? We’re into the long days of summer now, and there was a generous sunset that lit this session. I love the light this time of year. It reflected off of buildings around us, filling the alleys and streets with gold. I didn’t even need my reflector (or as Laura called it, “the shiny circle”).
I would like to take a moment and express my gratitude to all the grad students of the psychology department who have acted as models for me. As you can see, I spend my time around exceptionally good-looking people.

I would like to note that her hair color is not Photoshop trickery – it really did look red in this light! Wow!
Look what we found:

And then we risked life and limb for the final shot:
